Magnesium trisilicate is an antacid used for the symptomatic treatment of peptic ulcers by neutralizing gastric hypersecretion and mild laxative action. It i available as liquid medicine and also in tablet form. Liquid mixtures are considered to be more effective than tablet preparations although tablets are often more convenient to use.
